Salary Range $67,846 - $78,126 pa pro rata + 9.5% Super

Melton City Council is seeking a candidate with a strong commitment and passion for working with diverse and complex children and families, to work in our Vacation Care program. The Melton City Council Vacation Care Program provides quality education and care to primary aged school children throughout the school holiday periods.
The Vacation Care Program Supervisor will be required to work an average of 17hrs per week, in the following time periods;
- Schools terms - 2 days per week (12hrs)
- School Holidays - Full Time (38hrs)
Reporting to the Early Years Team Leader, the position is required to undertake the role as Educational Leader/Nominated Supervisor for the delivery of our Vacation Care program and to plan and implement a program that is based on children's social, cultural, physical, emotional development, and health and wellbeing needs.
In accordance with relevant guidelines and policies of the Local, State and Commonwealth governments, you will balance a workload consisting of a mix of direct service operations and administrative duties, including a focus on continuous improvement and risk management.
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- A Diploma level qualification in a field related to Out of School Hours Care, Teaching, or Children's Services.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current legislation & standards in relation to early education and care, including but not limited to, National Quality Framework, Family Assistance Law and Child Safe Standards.
- Experience working with children aged 5-12 years
- Current Working with Children Check or VIT registration
- Current approved Level 2 First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Training.
