The Opportunity

The City of Melton is one of the fastest growing municipalities in the State. Recent unprecedented growth has resulted in Council reviewing the structure and resourcing requirements in the Planning Services Department.

This has led to a fixed term opportunity for an experienced and talented planner to lead Council's Statutory Planning team. The team is essentially responsible for the assessment of planning proposals within Council's established urban areas and green wedge areas.

Key Responsibilities

This position involves managing a team of statutory planners and support staff to work closely with developers and other stakeholders in order to achieve quality planning outcomes. The role involves coaching and mentoring of staff, monitoring officer workloads, and checking and approving planning reports.
